EMANCIPATION comes on the heels of Lance Markeith completing his contract with Stageworks Theatre as Resident Playwright.
Markeith quotes this time as a moment of finding his true voice and creating what he wants to listen to. After writing for companies, Markeith is launching RISE and Motion Picture Records claiming his freedom.
The Music produced by John Vell Sound explores Afro-Futurism from a purely hip-hop context. Markeith and John Vell fuse trap, spacey-synthesizers and Southern soul to build their own sound.
