I hated music production. I hated recording music. I hated the time and energy spent recording music for the sake of people only listening to it once. I didn't have a sound, I didn't have a direction and so recording music aimlessly was growing tiresome and cumbersome. I still recorded music but purely for entertainment and for my own disposal.

I began this album with no preconceived notions. The only thing I knew was John Vell and I deserved a joint tape together. We'd gone through tons of trials and tribulations with the music and with real life - From tumultuous break-ups to homelessness to me crashing in his apartment for a month. From soundbytes of over-compressed lyrical mania to a controlled studio low-fi sound, Travell aka John Vell became my brother over the years. We have too many songs and too much chemistry not to put out a project.

But then I fell back in love with music...
